Caloocan City Mayor Enrico “Recom” Echiverri yesterday underscored
the importance of helping the youth become active agents of social
reformation in the city.
Echiverri made the statement during the opening ceremonies to one of
the highlights of the Boys and Girls Week celebrations that allowed
young residents become counterparts to top city government officials
for one week.
The mayor also reaffirmed the government’s continuing support to
improve the total well-being of the youth as he encouraged them to
contribute to nation building.
Julius Romel Fernandez
took the top post among the 66 student leaders as he was earlier
elected the counterpart of Mayor Echiverri.
The mayor, meanwhile lauded the other youth leaders during the
turnover of posts. They were Joan Cordero who was elected City Vice
Mayor; Filipina Carrera, Irish Mesa, Joseph Domelo, Ma. Kristine
Alcober, and Mc Winley Gallemit, as District I Councilors; and Mark
Anthony Calado, Marlyn Dalire, Pearly Paunil, Janine Gail Pecoro,
Christopher Porras, Maria Alexandra Joy Bonnevie and Liezyl Cabigayan
as District II Councilors.

Barangay president; Jacqueline Maye Lim as SK Federation president;
