CALOOCAN City Mayor Enrico Recom Echiverri yesterday advised residents to avail of the year round health and medical services being conducted for free in all the health centers in the city.

According to Echiverri, it is important that the residents be made aware of these health services being provided in the all the health centers in order to guarantee them a healthier way of life.

One of the health services being provided by the City Health Department is the food fortification program against malnutrition by providing vitamin A supplements and iodized salt.

They are also providing pre and post-partum care and Tetanus toxoid immunization for pregnant women and immunization for children from nine to 11 months.

Residents diagnosed with having tuberculosis (TB) are given free anti-TB medicines and anti-TB treatment.

While among the services given by the free dental program are oral examination, preventive treatment and curative treatment more especially to children.

They are also providing anti-leprosy control program in selected health centers where patients can avail of free medicines and healthcare.

Also, residents may avail of free cervical cancer screening, circumcision and medical and dental missions as part of the Health Operation Services special activities or health programs being conducted in every barangay.
